Who we are

ApertureX is an event photography and videography business operating in Brisbane, Australia. Contact: hello@aperturexaustralia.com.

Enquiries are not bookings

Sending the enquiry form does not book us and does not create a contract. It starts a conversation. A date is only held once we have confirmed it with you in writing and any agreed deposit has been paid.

Prices shown or discussed before we know the details of your event are indicative. The quote we send you for your specific event is the one that counts.

What is agreed per event

Coverage hours, deliverables, turnaround time, deposit, balance, cancellation and travel are set out in the written quote for your event. Those terms sit above anything on this page for that booking. If something is important to you, get it into that quote rather than relying on a general statement here.

Payment

We do not take card payments through this website. Payment is arranged directly with you — in person, by bank transfer or by PayID — on the terms in your quote. Nobody from ApertureX will ever ask you to enter payment details into this site, and if a page appears to do so, it is not ours.

Copyright and how you may use your photographs

Under Australian copyright law the photographer owns copyright in the photographs and video. That does not change when you receive your gallery.

What you get is a broad personal licence: print them, frame them, put them on social media, send them to everyone you know, keep them forever. There is no limit on personal use and no watermark on your files.

What the licence does not cover is commercial use — reselling the images, licensing them to a third party, or using them to advertise a business — and altering them in a way that misrepresents the work. If you need commercial rights, ask; it is usually a short conversation rather than a refusal.

We may use photographs from your event in our own portfolio and on social media. If you would prefer we did not, tell us and we will not — before or after the event, with no reason required.

Your gallery

The link is private. Anyone who has it can open the gallery, so share it with family and friends rather than posting it publicly.
Links expire on the date shown in your gallery, usually ninety days after delivery. Download your full-resolution files before then — we are not a backup service, and files may be deleted from storage after expiry.
If a link expires or stops working, email us and we will issue a new one.
We may revoke a link if we believe it has been shared publicly or is being used to distribute the images commercially.

Using this website

Do not attempt to break into, overload, or probe this site or its galleries. We rate-limit the forms and log abusive activity against a hashed address.

The images in our portfolio are our work and are not free to reuse.

If you find a security vulnerability, please email us first and give us a reasonable chance to fix it. We will not pursue anyone who reports a problem in good faith and does not access other people's data in the process.

Things we cannot promise

We take reasonable care to keep this site and your gallery available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to a website. Nothing here limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply regardless of what any terms say.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
